Lunar Impact

On Tuesday, the 1st, Venus emerges from her long slog through the swamps of Scorpio into bright plain of Sagittarius, lifting moods and sparking excitement.  The same day, Uranus stations direct, triggering latent changes in both collective and personal situations.   Then, on Tuesday night we witness the Full Moon in Gemini.  The night light’s monthly moment of maximum polarity brings the cauldron of energies to a boil, creating a heady brew of entangled intuitions, thoughts, feelings and communications. With Venus’ ingress in Sagittarius, the Full Moon in Gemini and Uranus going direct in Pisces, it’s a big week for mutable signs, and may be a particularly annoying one for Virgos.

Things peak early in the week, with the climax echoing throughout the next several days.  Things start to shift into the next phase on Sunday, when Mercury makes it into Capricorn, and the Moon conjoins an almost-retrograde Mars in Leo.

Venus in Sagittarius:

As Venus strides into Sagittarius, the goddess of affection and attraction becomes a huntress.  The passions fly like arrows, streaking toward visions of desire.

Venus in Sagittarius is positive and excitable.  Fantasies of speed, action and mastery characterize the bullseyes the arrows find.  Venus in Sagittarius has a special proclivity toward the aesthetics of film, television and video games- the moving image.  For Venus in Sag is active-  the goddess of the desirous chase.  The super heroine side of the anima, she dances behind the veil of the comic book page.  This Dakini connects people through a shared vision of excellence, uniting those who are otherwise dissimiliar.

Uranus Direct

Uranus, “ole changey” has been retrograde since July 1st of the year.  This Tuesday Uranus reassumes direct motion in the 23rd degree of Pisces, from which he will march slowly through the end of Pisces and into the first degree of Aries.  Uranus will then turn retrograde in Aries, but not until July 5th, 2010.

FOOL

Uranus’ direct station releases all manner of revolutionary energies.   But for the last year, Uranus’ excitatory impulses have been stifled by his oppositions to Saturn.  This time, as Uranus turns direct, Saturn is out of the way, busy trying to build agreements over ancient enemities in Libra.  Unencumbered by Saturn’s regulation, Uranus’ station will send things into motion swiftly.  Those lingering at the edge of the future’s abyss may find themselves pushed, either by courage or a laughing fool.

Mercury starts out the week configured to Uranus (by square), putting the messenger in the perfect position to translate the (r)evolutionary impulse into ideas.  The thoughts and communications stirred up by this influence are most likely to arrive on Wednesday, once the teapot has been brought to a boil.

Full Moon in Gemini

The Full Moon comes this Tuesday night, right on the heels of Venus’ ingress into Sagittarius and Uranus’ station direct.  The yearly of opposition of the Sun in Sagittarius and the Moon in Gemini highlights the tension between a general strategic direction and a tactical plan to cover the ground.  The opposition is one between intuitive and rational knowing, juxtaopposing the contents of the mind with deeply felt direction.

Mercury in Capricorn

Though the messenger begins the week in configuration with Uranus, he will finish it, on Sunday, with an entrance into Capricorn.  Mercury will be in Capricorn until February 10th, 2010.  Another Mercury retrograde is on its way, and this time the messenger will be hunched over life blueprints, reconsidering your life’s architecture.  More on that next week.

Horoscopes

November 30th-December 6th

Note on Horoscopes: 12 Fold horoscopes are a way to assess the general condition of the splayed rays of the zodiac. Although not without value, they are a blunt tool, and can only describe the archetypal activity in each power-zone. In order to sharpen the accuracy of the horoscopes, read your Sun Sign if you were born in the day-time, and read your Moon Sign if you were born at night. Reading the Sign in which the Ascendant is placed is also advised.
