Love Triangle
Saturn, Uranus and Pluto
Saturn in Libra will not be the only outer planet present in a Cardinal sign in 2010. He’ll have Pluto in Capricorn to keep him company, and for a few months of 2010, Uranus will bop on over to Aries to tango. The planets will create a harmonic pattern called a “T-Square,” which astrologers recognize as one of the most difficult arrangements of planetary forces.
Uranus in Aries
During the Spring of 2010, Uranus will shift into Aries for a few months. Uranus will be recreating the desire for revolution, both technologically and personally. Uranus’ last ingress into a Cardinal Sign was at the end of 80’s, when he went into Capricorn. The revolutions that have proceeded from this time have been typically Saturnine- they have changed the structure of governance as well as the quality of our material world. Like, you know, the end of the Cold War. When Uranus enters Aries, he will announce his intentions to galvanize the revolutionary fervor in the personal quarter of the zodiac. The energies activated are the revolutionary sentiments that come as a result of the re awakening of a sense of personal empowerment and dignity. It sets a tone for a cycle where the focus will be on changes in the way that we see our personal power, as well as triggering technologies that enhance and extend the natural power of the individual.
Saturn in Libra’s attempt to remake the rules will have to reconcile itself with this gigantic rebirth of personal power. The individuals between whom the rules arrive are about to start mutating, and the accord between yesterday’s people will not hold fast the new men and women of tomorrow. They must forge their own agreements.
Pluto is also in a Cardinal sign, for the first time since the 70’s, when the dark lord entered the sign of Libra. The changes in epistemology, the absolutely radical skepticism (see a destruction of belief in govt., the office of president, traditional religions, etc) that slowly but surely penetrated the collective during that time set the stage for the deep psychological underpinnings of the following decades. Pluto entered Capricorn in 2008, and will be there until the early 2020’s. In Capricorn, Pluto has entered the collective quarter of the zodiac, and will be creating deep lasting changes to our universal, collective world for the next 60 years. This is already evident in the widely witnessed but highly unfocused desire to tear down existing institutions and authority figures.
Saturn in Libra will have to attempt to balance structures with this deep, invincible need to transform collective structures from the bottom up. Here, Pluto calls for a radicalism that Saturn in Libra simply cannot accommodate in harmony while preserving its emphasis on a balanced middle way. It is akin to attempting to rebuild a house while people are digging tunnels beneath it, undermining the foundations. See sappers.
All Together, Now
Saturn in Libra stimulates the desire and need to recreate laws and institutions in accordance with the times. It activates the spirit of the law, which is a collective compromise, the social contract, in its essence. However, it must be ready to accommodate powerful, emergent needs for deep structural change (Pluto in Capricorn) and radicalized individuality (Uranus in Aries).
